Cherece Burston is a Resilience Mentor, Health Equity Advocate, Speaker, and a natural woman of healing and wisdom. Rooted in lived experience and public health leadership, she brings clarity, compassion, and truth to both the people she walks beside—and the systems she works to shift.

As the founder of Made2Bloom™, Cherece is known for creating safe spaces where healing, self-worth, and growth can take root—personally and collectively.

Through her leadership roles, she has helped shape state-level public health strategies, champion trauma-informed practices, and drive equity-centered work grounded in the social determinants of health.

This includes:

  • Co-chairing the Survivorship HEC for the Massachusetts Comprehensive Cancer Coalition (MCCC), where she also served as a subject matter expert on the roles of Community Health Workers and Patient Navigators in cancer care via Project ECHO
  • Leading equity, advocacy & strategy as one of the first to Co-Chair of the Community Health Worker Advisory Council led by The MassLeague of Community Health Centers
  • Presenting a published abstract at the American Public Health Association (APHA) Conference on CHW integration in a clinical setting within a Federally Qualified Health Center
  • Returning panelist at the Annual Cancer Survivor Empowerment Conference lead by cancer survivors

Cherece is known for her warmth, wisdom, and unshakable grace—but also her bold voice rooted in truth and equity. She leads with respect, but doesn’t sugarcoat injustice. Her advocacy challenges bias with empathy and offers strategy with heart. She speaks the kind of truth that plants seeds—seeds of common sense, of deeper reflection, and of system-level change.

Her gift is bridging the wisdom of lived experience with the strategic insight to influence both personal growth and systemic healing. She doesn’t just “lead” the work—she lives it.

To restore worth. To uplift truth. And to remind people that they were always Made2Bloom™.
